IoT GO - Explore the Cites open network of Beacons, Sensors and LoRa Gateways and nodes

IoT GO is a new gamification to engage citizens with IoT infrastructure in the city in real time and replaces the original test app - The Beacon Explorer based on the first stage of the Amsterdam IoT Living Lab - The Beacon Mile which was launched in the summer of 2015. Since then the IoT Living Lab and the cities network of open IoT devices has grown to include sensors from the Waag Society, more beacons from Glimworm, LoRa Gateways and nodes from KPN and the Things Network, beacons and prototype LoRa beacons from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Smart signs and parking sensors from Glimworm and new beacons in the Bus and Trams stops from the City and JCDecaux for the Amsterdam Open Beacon network in co-operation with Google. As the network of IoT enabled devices grows so does the IoT Living Lab and the open API partially funded by the City of Amsterdam and ODINE the Open Data Institutes Accelerator program. IoT GO is an Open Data Driven Gamification to generate awareness and engage citizens in the network as it grows in real time.

- Explore all open IoT devices in the City of Amsterdam with the interactive 2.5D map
- Discover Beacons, Sensors and LoRa Gateways and Nodes by flying or walking in real time
- See the activity and data that devices are generating close to you
- Collect the devices you like and add them to your deck of interactive items
- Use the Open API to integrate the beacons, sensor data and Lora networks for your Apps and IoT projects

== Background:==

On July 23, 2015 The City of Amsterdam teamed up with Glimworm and KPN to create the worlds first public LoraWAN network on the Beacon Mile. Starting at Amsterdam Central Station, going along the historic Oosterdok (Eastern Docks) past several points of interest including the NEMO Science Museum and ending at the Marineterrein a new innovation hub next to the Maritime Museum; the mile was the first phase of the IoT Living Lab. A Smart City initiative, the IoT Living Lab is an open and public test environment for beacons, sensors and LoRa enabled gateways, sensor beacons and nodes for developers, citizens and government to kickstart Amsterdams IoT economy.

IoT Go is free thanks to all of our partners including The City of Amsterdam, ODINE, Amsterdam Smart City, HvA, JC Decaux, Appsterdam, The Waag Society, The Marineterrein and more.
